Radical Yes - 'Sunday' Sling Back Black Leather

If you have been shopping with us for a while you might be familiar with the first incarnation of sling backs we made for S17, the hugely popular 'Poet' series. We've listened to your requests and taken our time to reinvent this much loved classic for an autumn- winter inspired version and are pleased (after a very lengthy development period!)  to finally present our 'Sunday' sling back update. Featuring a very wearable 2.5cm block heel detail and chiselled through through the vamp for a comfortable - but sharp - square toe finish. The top line on this silhouette has been drawn from our previous best selling style - the 'Wonderglove' shoe - finished in a square set, and slightly shorter vamp depth to reveal just the right amount of toe. The look is 60s inspired polish with a twist of modern magic. With a 5mm thick memory foam padding through both the heel and midsole, we intended them not just for work days but weekend adventures to. 

As per your request... YES! Classic Black leather upper in super fine grain, soft to touch cow leather. We love the radical contrast of cream lining to give the silhouette an almost sculptural mood. Heavy set Gunmetal buckle at the outer ankle finished with hidden black elastic through the strap for extra mobility and comfort. Black plant rubber outsole for almost trainer like grip, finished with extra thick (5mm) heel cap for all day on your feet wear. 

We were always thinking something French and pretty polished with these beauties. Blazers and slub denim stove pipes for the week, can go just as easy as a tucked in ironic vintage athletic jersey made dressed up for the weekend. We like to contrast the slightly more serious mood of the silhouette with more playful details up top - contrasting anoraks and oversized mens shirts make for easy sharp dressing. We don't mind wearing these with socks as well to keep a sense of humour about things. The best thing is the heel is so low you can still run for the tram in them and maintain your fashion dignity.

Yes. This material will have around 5 - 8% stretch on wearing depending on the amount of pressure applied to the upper. 

This is high quality leather upper so it does need care.

Leather is a wonderful material, breathable, durable and beautiful. But without a bit of love it can dry out and deteriorate.

For optimum care, we recommend and sell "Waproo Waterproofer" to protect them from unexpected showers. We recommend spraying monthly on the Full Moon and can send you a reminder if you sign up to our newsletter here.

Polish your leather shoes around once a month and clean when necessary with a leather conditioner and soft rag to remove any dirt accumulated on your travels.

For extra special treatment, polishing can help renew shoes that have developed scratches or other signs of regular wear. Wax and cream polishes available from a local shoe repairer will breath new life into your beloved toe tappers. Once your newly polished shoes have dried you can re-apply a waterproof spray for extra protection.

Returns - International

Whilst we will happily assist with an international exchange we can not cover any exchange costs, including taxes on international orders. This means postage back to us and return postage back to you is at your own expense, so please choose with care and contact us if you need help with sizing.
