When Did Hiking Sandals Become So Cool?

Radical Yes Hiking Sandals

Somewhere between the need for clocking your daily 10,000 steps and really leaning into the idea that footwear form must meet function, we have yet to take off our footwear choice of the summer – the Neptune Hiking Sandal.

Here’s 3 reasons we know you will love them  –

1. They are perfect for the transition to Autumn. With the chunky profile upper and substantial variegated outsole (read: grips pavement in wet conditions) these sandals also happen to be best friends with outfits that mix the best of 2 seasons.

Example 1 - A chunky knit with man-style shorts. Example 2 - A long skirt with a high neck cut tee-shirt.

See what we did here? One part is covered and one part exposed to balance the open nature of the shoe. Radical and yes.

2. They embrace the ‘Get them on fast’ Velcro attitude that we know you love our Journey Trainers for. If our shoes were families, the Journey Trainer and Neptune sandal would be sisters. Same easy-wear-easy-care attitude, they personify an essence of flat shoe liberation we’ll always be flying the flag for.

3. Leather and Non-Leather Options. Unlike many hiking sandals in the market, we have executed ours with leather detail under-wrap straps for longer wearing durability and comfort. For non-leather wearers, we also experimented with a vegan option in Eco-Pu Mustard for the same effect of having a more solid material to frame the upper. The net effect? A sandal that is almost gladiator in proportions that makes wearing them to  the office with a suit a totally viable option.
