HANDS-FREE SHOES. 3 GREAT WAYS TO WEAR SLIP ON FLAT SHOES THIS SUMMER.

Radical Yes Hands Free Shoes

By Kerryn Moscicki, Brand Director & Founder Radical Yes.

We should probably thank the Ballet Dancers for it. For lending us ideas of shoes that work without laces, ties or any other fasteners we might have previously endured in our footwear choices.

That said, whilst a classic flat slip-on creates a certain grace in silhouette, from a more pragmatic stance there is something undeniably fuss-free about a shoe that can be easily slipped on - especially ones that can be thrown on the foot whilst you’re still standing up and already half out the door. It’s one of the reasons we dub our favourite slip-ons ‘hands-free shoes’, and also part of the reason this Summer we have created a carefully considered group of slip-on styles to suit the many parts of your life these always-easy sartorial wonders can walk you through.

Below we offer our pick of 3 of the best ‘hands-free’ slip-ons and the places you can feel radically free to wear them this summer…

Radical Yes Hands Free Shoes

1. To A Wedding in Utopia Black.

If you want to feel exceptionally radical, there is nothing more liberating than wearing a flat shoe to a wedding. The best thing about the Utopia silhouette is the highly convicted square toe that still says ‘dressed up’ and still says ‘considered’ despite the fact you remain entirely grounded through the experience of wearing them. Flat shoes with an essence of dressed up heels is something we have been thinking a lot about this summer and we believe the sharpness of our Utopia silhouette proves it is a theory that works.

2. For A ‘Closed Toe’ Office Policy in Summer with Serendipity Red.

If you have been a long-time fan of our shoes you will know we are big on shoes that can do tricks. Echoing ideas from our laser cut series from seasons past, our new Serendipity Red features a hand-cut circle detail that really puts the ‘airy’ in the airy sophisticated mood of these shoes. With a leather upper and a leather lining, your feet will stay naturally breezy, whilst your toes remain firmly within the boundaries of your closed-shoe-only office policy. Radical and Yes.

3. To Your Office Christmas Party in The Layers – Black.

In the sharpness stakes, there is nothing more dressed up in our collection than our point toe silhouette ‘The Layers’. Made functionally perfect by the criss-crossed elastic that secures the shoe to your foot, this detail actually takes the ‘slip’ out of this ballet-inspired flat.
