RADICAL YES X WEAR FOR SUCCESS // Work, Life and Wonder Women

‘Radical Vision’ is a capsule collection of 6 new sunglass styles we have developed to help raise funds for Not-For Profit organsiation ‘Wear For Success.’

In keeping with our usual design philosophy, just like the shoes (which are built around 1 last and experiment with patterns and materials within that boundary) the eyewear range has been built around 1 key silhouette executed in 6 different colours.

We saw a strong synergy between our customers’ interests and the objectives of WFS who work hard to help others feel good about themselves through fashion and finding rewarding work.

Radical Yes customers are artists, creatives, small business owners, stylists and especially busy working mums who love flat shoes. Work as a 'lifestyle' focus is a really important consideration for us when designing our products.

With that in mind, we went behind the scenes on our campaign shoot and asked our six amazing Wonder Women to share their work stories and inspirations. Over the next few weeks on the blog we will unveil their thoughts. This week we meet Seesaw Studio Co-Owner and Creative Director Anita Ryley, and Ceramicist Ruby Pilven.

ANITA RYLEY – CREATIVE DIRECTOR
"Choose Peace"

My work life is…
Busy, creative, fun and rewarding. My work colleagues are literally my second family. While work can be hectic and clients often demanding, they are an endless source of support and inspiration.

When I find myself in a challenging situation and I need to change my outlook I ...Choose Peace.

I completed an incredible CTC (combined therapy cocktail) session a few months ago, which is essentially a number of holistic modalities in one intensive session. The therapist suggested I choose a mantra and I essentially stole hers as it just seemed so damn simple. Anxious? Choose Peace. Angry? Choose Peace. Stressed? Choose Peace. I have it scrawled on a post-it which is stuck to my computer.

My go-to outfit when I need to ‘wear for success’ is…

Blouse, heels and bright lipstick. There's something about added height and a bright lip that adds a little confidence.

"Things can easily be fixed"

My work life is…
Long and hard but at the end of the day the final outcome is very visually exciting and rewarding.

When I find myself in a challenging situation and I need to change my outlook I ...
Think at least no one is dead and things can easily be fixed.

My go-to outfit when I need to ‘wear for success’ is…
My Tiff Manuell Happy Go-Lucky tights, my rainbow Violent Soho t-shirt, my gold Radical Yes! toe tappers, my glittery socks from Japan, my Blue dot broad rimmed hat from Gorman and my new gold Radical Yes sunnies!
